FOUTA is a money transfer, financing and microfinance service based on the mobile money service. Launched in 2017 by SOTEK MONEY, FOUTA allows users to make electronic monetary transactions: to deposit, withdraw, transfer money and pay for goods and services.
This service allows users to have an integrated mobile money service unifying transactions between local banking operators on a single secure platform. FOUTA has set up an efficient mobile payment platform by bringing together all the mobile payments on the market in a single service which helps the population to finalize their transactions on different accounts of (MTN mobile money, Airtel Money, BGFI mobile, LCB bank, etc.).
In exchange, users pay fees associated with their transactions. FOUTA is spreading rapidly in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire and will become by 2021 the most secure financial service based on mobile money in Congo. Since then, it has been extended to Pointe Noire - Dolisie - NKAYI - OYO etc. By 2020 FOUTA is preparing to expand across the country and into rural areas.
